Happy Tuesday—or is it Monday?

It's been a whirlwind week with Amani's graduation ceremony and family in town. Challenges arose, but as always, things worked out. It's a timely reminder that often, all we need to do is shift our mindset and relax; the universe tends to unfold as it should. Trusting that whatever happens is for our highest good can indeed be tough but is always worth the effort.

Have you ever noticed when you slip into "crisis" mode, not quite yourself? I see this often in aura photography. People sometimes adopt a persona different from their true selves for various reasons—protection, misalignment with their built life, or simply out of habit.

Reflecting on my journey, it's clear how far I've strayed from my true self over the years. Conditioned by childhood, culture, and society, I knew myself only from an external perspective—how others saw or expected me to be, not who I truly was.

My spiritual awakening and yoga journey helped me reconnect with my authentic self, particularly after leaving my federal government career. This old persona was strong, and unraveling it has been a profound part of my journey toward authenticity.

Recently, I've embraced another significant shift. Every day, I'm more in tune with the idea that we are both matter and spirit—not just beings living in a physical world, but divine entities. This understanding deepened as I noticed changes during aura readings. Initially, my aura would show more green and yellow, reflecting a state of analytical thinking rather than intuition. When I began to ease into the readings, allowing more flow and less pressure, my aura shifted to indigo/violet, indicating a deeper connection to intuition and spiritual insight.

This realization—of being my authentic self and trusting in that—has brought me into a fuller state of flow, confirmed even by my own aura readings. What a gift to see this transformation and to know when I am truly embodying my most authentic self!

As summer begins, I know it's tempting to step away from routine practices like yoga. However, it's crucial to maintain our discipline and continue our personal journeys, regardless of the season. Whether through yoga classes, private sessions, coaching, or aura readings, staying connected to your practice can support you in remaining true to yourself, especially during busy or challenging times.

  • The Roll Model Method: Therapeutic Self-massage Workshop. On July 20th, from 10:00-11:30 am, experienced instructor Elissa Day offers a special opportunity to deepen your practice and experience the healing benefits of therapy balls in a focused and immersive setting. In this workshop, you'll delve into the art of releasing tension in your muscles and remodeling fascia and tissue using yoga tune-up balls. Elissa will guide you through specific techniques to relieve aches and pains, offering insights on how to reform your body from the inside out.   • Cyclical Harmony Workshop: Embrace Your Inner Rhythm Through Yoga. On August 24th, from 2:00-4:00pm, Ashley Sorensen leads a beautiful workshop for women, menstruators, and all cyclical beings! Learn the science behind your cycle and how to care for it intentionally, while also exploring how these natural rhythms can be used to create anything you desire in life. It will benefit you even if you aren't currently cycling (for example, if you're post-menopausal, pregnant, breastfeeding, or using hormonal birth control). Learning about your inner cyclical nature gives you the ability to more deeply understand yourself and therefore, honor your needs in a more powerful, healing way. You will also discuss different ways of connecting with nature that help you to honor your innate cyclical wisdom.
