Finding Stillness, One Step at a Time

Jessica Otieno | JAN 19

For as long as I can remember, all I wanted was to find my purpose — to live in a way that felt aligned with what my soul came here to do.

Over the last several years, I’ve made some enormous shifts. Terrifying and healing at the same time. The most recent one was opening this sanctuary for yoga, wellness, and transformation. As a single mother, a new entrepreneur, and a human doing this mostly solo, it’s been a massive undertaking.

Everything in my life has changed.

My sadhana has changed.
The flow of my days has changed.
My self-care has changed.
My energy and habits have changed.
Even my coffee consumption has changed 🤣

The New Year is off to a beautiful start. The busyness of the holiday season has passed, and as things begin to settle into a new rhythm, I’m finally finding pockets of quiet — space to reflect, to listen, to be.

For some time now, I’ve been expressing a desire for deeper meditation. I’m grateful that it’s arriving.

While I’m still very much on the journey, I no longer question my path in the way I once did. Things are still uncertain in very real ways, and much of what I’m building is not yet fully stabilized. And yet… there’s something new underneath it all.

For the first time, I feel a solid foundation within myself — as though I’m slowly and intentionally rebuilding my life and identity, or rather, co-creating it with the Divine.

This morning offered a rare pause. An opportunity to sit, tune out the noise, and find stillness — the same place I often guide my students to, but this time with no agenda, no timeline, no plan.

Just to be.
To breathe.
To release the hum of never-ending tasks and obligations.
To listen.

To reflect on who I am in this moment, what has changed, and what is now ready to shift. To reset my vision and inner coherence toward greater alignment — one piece, one day, one step at a time.

And apparently… I’m not the only one enjoying me slowing down either 😉

Thank you for being here, for walking this path alongside me, and for allowing this community to grow in a way that feels real, intentional, and alive.

With gratitude,
Jess
