MPW Foundations Series
The MPW Foundations Series is a 3-part, progressive introduction to yoga designed to help students build a strong, meaningful, and sustainable practice.
Rooted in breath, alignment, energy awareness, and authentic yogic wisdom, this series supports beginners and returning practitioners who want more than just “exercise.”
Across three modules, students learn:
• how to feel safe and confident in their bodies
• how breath shapes awareness and nervous system regulation
• how yoga philosophy supports life off the mat
• how to integrate movement, meditation, and subtle energy
Each module stands alone — but together, they create a complete foundation for a lifelong practice.
This 4-week beginner-friendly module teaches the building blocks of yoga through posture labs, breathwork, safe alignment, and personalized guidance.
Students learn where their hands and feet go, how to use props, how to breathe with movement, and how to build a practice that feels good, grounded, and sustainable.
This module is perfect for anyone who is brand-new to yoga, coming back after time away, or wanting to feel more confident and informed in group classes — especially in a world where so many studios focus only on intensity, sweat, or aesthetics.

• Foundations of alignment + posture
• The six families of movement
• How to modify every pose for your body
• How props can support and enhance practice
• Breath as the anchor for movement
• How yoga builds confidence, clarity, and nervous system stability
• Beginners
• Returning yogis
• Those intimidated by faster-paced classes
• Anyone wanting a supportive, thoughtful introduction
• People seeking clarity, not competition
This is a 4-week series designed to deepen your understanding of yoga as a whole system—body, breath, mind, and awareness.
While Module I focuses on physical foundations and confidence in movement, Module II turns inward. Here, we explore why yoga works, how breath shapes the nervous system, and how ancient yogic principles show up in modern life.
This module is experiential, reflective, and accessible. You do not need to be physically advanced or have prior knowledge of yoga philosophy. Curiosity and a willingness to explore inner awareness are enough.
Each session includes gentle movement (hatha / yin / fusion-style pacing), guided breath practices, discussion, and short meditation experiences designed to help quiet mental chatter and cultivate presence.

• Breath awareness and nervous system regulation
• Yamas & Niyamas as lived, practical principles
• Introduction to the Koshas (layers of experience)
• Stillness, meditation, and mindful inquiry
• How yoga supports clarity, grounding, and emotional regulation
• Integrating practice into daily life
• Students curious about yoga beyond poses
• Beginners and experienced practitioners alike
• Anyone seeking mental clarity, inner quiet, or deeper meaning
• Those drawn to slower, reflective, and intentional practice
You do not need to have taken Module I to participate.
Yoga Beyond the Mat
Applying yoga to daily life and building a personal practice
This is not advanced poses. This is advanced awareness.
MPW Foundations — Module III: Integration & Embodiment is where everything comes together.
While Modules I and II focus on understanding yoga through movement, breath, and inquiry, Module III is about application—learning how yoga supports your life beyond the studio.
This module is not about advanced poses or intensity. It is about cultivating awareness, agency, and self-trust so that yoga becomes a personal resource rather than something that only happens in class.
Through gentle movement, breathwork, discussion, and reflection, students explore how stress patterns show up in the body, how the nervous system responds to daily life, and how yoga can support balance, clarity, and resilience.
Module III helps participants move from doing yoga to living yoga—in work, relationships, rest, and decision-making.

• Nervous system basics (in clear, practical language)
• Stress, rest, and recovery
• Breath and awareness as daily tools
• Energy awareness through lived experience
• Yogic philosophy as practical wisdom
• Designing a sustainable home practice
• Using yoga for grounding, emotional balance, and clarity
Students often leave this module with insights such as:
“Yoga supports my life, not just my body.”
“I feel calmer and more regulated day to day.”
“I trust myself more.”
“I’m curious about deeper inner work.”
Module III serves as a bridge—from structured learning into personal embodiment.
This module naturally opens the door to:
meditation and stillness-based offerings
restorative and integration events
deeper self-inquiry
future energy-based or subtle-body work (without pressure)
What is the MPW Foundations Series?
The Foundations Series is a set of educational yoga offerings designed to help you understand yoga as a whole system — not just a class. Each module focuses on a different aspect of practice, from physical foundations to inner awareness to real-life integration.
Do I need prior yoga experience to participate?
No. All Foundations modules are designed to be accessible to beginners and experienced practitioners alike. Curiosity and openness are more important than flexibility or strength.
Do I need to take the modules in order?
No. Each module stands on its own. Some students choose to experience the full progression, while others join the module that feels most relevant to them.
What’s the difference between these modules and regular yoga classes?
Regular yoga classes focus primarily on practice. The Foundations modules are educational and experiential, combining movement, breath, discussion, and reflection to help you understand why yoga works and how to apply it beyond the studio.
Are Foundations modules included in memberships or class packs?
No. Foundations modules are offered separately from standard class memberships due to their extended length, small-group format, and educational focus.
What if I miss a session?
Because each module is offered as a series with limited capacity, missed sessions cannot be refunded or credited. If you’re unsure you can attend all sessions, we recommend attending a drop-in (when available) before committing to the full series.
Are drop-ins allowed?
Drop-in participation may be available for Week 1 only, space permitting. Drop-ins do not reserve a spot for the full series and are intended as an introduction before committing.
Is this a physically challenging program?
The Foundations Series is not focused on advanced poses or physical intensity. The emphasis is on awareness, breath, understanding, and integration. Modifications are always encouraged.
Will we be learning yoga philosophy or Sanskrit?
Yogic concepts may be introduced, but always in plain language and through lived experience. No memorization or prior knowledge is required.
Is this religious or spiritual?
No. The Foundations Series is not religious. Yoga is presented as a practical system for awareness, regulation, and self-understanding. Students are encouraged to relate to the material in a way that feels supportive and relevant to them.
How does this differ from therapy or coaching?
Yoga works through the body, breath, and awareness. While it can support emotional regulation and insight, the Foundations Series is not therapy or coaching and does not replace professional mental health care.
Will we talk about energy, chakras, or the subtle body?
Energy and subtle-body concepts may be introduced in experiential, grounded ways. These frameworks are offered as tools for understanding experience, not as beliefs students are expected to adopt.
Is this appropriate if I’m dealing with stress, burnout, or anxiety?
Many students find the Foundations Series supportive during times of stress or transition. That said, students are encouraged to listen to their bodies, modify as needed, and seek additional support when appropriate.
What should I expect during a session?
Sessions may include gentle movement, breathwork, guided awareness practices, reflection, and occasional discussion. Participation in discussion is always optional.
Will I be asked to share personal experiences?
No. Sharing is always optional. Students are welcome to participate quietly and internally if that feels more comfortable.
Will this help me build a home practice?
Yes — particularly in Module III: Integration & Embodiment, which focuses on translating practice into daily life and building sustainable personal routines.
Can I repeat a module?
Yes. Many students find that repeating a module offers new insights as their awareness and experience evolve.
How do I know which module is right for me?
If you’re unsure, we’re happy to help you decide. You’re also welcome to attend a drop-in (when available) to get a feel for the approach.
Is this teacher training or certification?
No. The Foundations Series is designed for personal growth and understanding, not certification or professional training.
How do I register or learn about upcoming dates?
Upcoming sessions, pricing, and registration links are listed on the website. You may also join our mailing list for announcements.
Who leads the Foundations Series?
Modules are led by experienced teachers at Many Paths Wellness and may vary by session. All offerings are guided by the studio’s trauma-aware, integrative approach.
